Our Story
Chef Ramsey was born and raised in Hammond, Louisiana, where her love for cooking began at the age of five. She learned the foundations of Southern flavor by baking alongside her grandmother, sparking a lifelong passion for Cajun cuisine. Driven by her dedication to authentic Louisiana flavors, Chef Ramsey created Jazz It Up Soul Food, a brand devoted to bringing the vibrant, soulful taste of the South to kitchens everywhere. In 2020, she launched her signature Cajun seasonings, a celebrated milestone that marked her commitment to sharing the spirit of ‘NOLA’ one bottle at a time. Chef Ramsey’s vision continues to grow with plans to introduce a Cajun food truck, custom Jazz It Up merchandise, and her first cookbook.
Recently, Chef Ramsey won a coveted golden ticket to compete in the World Food Championships finals, further cementing her reputation as a culinary powerhouse. With her eyes set on new ventures, she is on a mission to make every meal a bold celebration of Louisiana’s flavors.
